The Longbow
While longbows have been around since the Paleolithic Era, they are more commonly related to the English. The English, or Welsch longbow is a powerful bow that was developed in the middle ages. These were usually made to fit the archer, as they were traditionally supposed to be about as tall as the shooter. The English longbow was typically made from yew wood, because it is one of the few bows flexible enough to withstand the pressure of the long drawback and circular shape, but strong enough to make it extremely powerful and accurate.
